Twilio is hiring an Engineering Manager for a technical leadership role for the Voice & Video SDET team. Our mission is helping Voice & Video teams to deliver high quality software quickly and safely as well as meet high availability, scalability and reliability standards.  

You will be leading an engineering team that's building next generation automated frameworks and tools for functional and non-functional testing to enable real-time, low latency services for next generation communications.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a talented and experienced engineering leader who lives the Twilio Magic and who is excited at the opportunity to lead future efforts in our Voice SDET team:

  • 6+ years of experience in engineering with 2+ years of hands-on experience leading and managing teams of 5-10 people.
  • You have demonstrated experience leading inclusive teams, mentoring engineers, and teaching proven practices that help teams grow.
  • You have skills to define a roadmap and collaborate across multiple global teams.
  • You have in-depth, hands-on experience of functional and non-functional testing as well as development, configuration and deployment of Testing Frameworks.
  • You are passionate about operational excellence and know how to build and manage an engineering team that delivers it.
  • You understand the architecture and processes required to build and operate always-available complex and scalable distributed systems in cloud environments.
  • You are familiar with agile processes, continuous integration and test automation.
  • Bachelors/Masters degree required, or equivalent experience.

  • BE INCLUSIVE: Act as an ambassador for Twilio, recruiting and motivating top talent.
