🎯 Your mission

As Engineering Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all teams activities and team members.
The EM is responsible for implementing processes and procedures to keep the team running efficiently. Works with and reports to the Senior Director of Engineering.

Note that this vacancy has a strong focus on team and people management.


👩🏽‍💻 What you’ll be doing

  • Lead a big team of diverse and talented software engineers with different levels of expertise.
  • Coach engineers to grow in a professional (improving skills, problem-solving abilities) and personal way (by supporting and giving them frequent feedback).
  • Interfaces with CTO, Staff/Principal Engineers and PLs.
  • Coordinate projects, make detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct time different the integration of technical activities.
  • Strives to improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs, and to reduce waste.
  • Provide reports with guidance and opportunities for development.
  • Provide reports and data to upper management and manage a team.
  • Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring and training employees


👥 Who you’ll be playing with

You will be part of the engineering team (+30 people) reporting directly to the Senior Director Engineering, working in daily collaboration with Product and other engineers.

  • Located in Madrid or able to commute to Madrid several times per month
  • An empathetic, inclusive and curious attitude
  • Good understanding of software development, and on time different stacks with expertise in at least one platform.
  • Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams (+7) and coaching/mentoring engineers
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage reports under pressure.
  • Ability to set team goals and achieve them on time.
  • Experience working with product managers and communicating with both technical and product leads.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions within specified timelines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. English is a must.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
