Job Description

We are the tribe that enables Kiwi’s marketing team to promote best quality content and automate most of their manual work. The tribe consists of developers, analysts, SEO and SEM specialists. We’re building a marketing platform that can serve as the basis for any custom marketing campaign Kiwi.com will execute in future.

    Why is it fun?

  • Kiwi.com is constantly growing and our presence on all markets is increasing.
  • The landing pages for marketing campaigns need to contain all relevant information for our customers and be blazing fast at the same time.
  • It is a big challenge and it’s fun to have the chance to play with the technology required to make it happen.
  • What can you learn here?

  • Cool new technologies and how to take a new service from an idea to production, including software design and testing.
  • We can extend your knowledge with various aspect from the marketing tech domain, including:
  • Search Engine Marketing (SEM)
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Marketing Automation
  • Core Web Vitals, performance optimization
  • As Engineering Lead, you will be collaborating with multiple departments and teams specialized in different technologies.
  • Requirements

  • Be able to act as a technical leader of a project or initiative (translating requirements from non-engineers, communicating with multiple engineering teams, leading consensual discussions around technical design and architecture, providing estimates about complexity, etc.).
  • Ability to teach more junior colleagues.
  • Write stable, maintainable, and well tested code (trust us, it takes much longer to fix consequences than write actual tests).
  • Be fluent in JavaScript, React, Node.
  • Have a solid foundation in semantic HTML.
  • Ability to quickly learn on your own – not being afraid to ask questions, experiment, fail, learn and eventually succeed.
  • What’s it like to work at Kiwi.com?

  • Distributed engineering teams.
  • We’re trying hard to be “practically agile”, typically using some version of Scrum (two weeks sprints, standups, planning, retrospective, refinements) or Kanban. Teams are self-organizing and expected to own and refine their development process.
  • Fully remote or onsite work in one of our locations: Prague, Barcelona, Brno, Split, Bratislava, Košice.
  • Direct cooperation with Product Managers, SEO/SEM specialists, QA, UX/UI and other engineering teams.
  • Daily releases and delivery.
  • Why does it rock to be at Kiwi.com?

  • Do, fail, learn – repeat! We understand that individual mistakes happen and if there’s a reason to fail we try to do that fast. Plus we apply measures to not fail as a group, team, etc.
  • We decide which cutting-edge technologies are appropriate for the task.
  • We love contributing and using Open Source. In fact, our whole design system is Open Source.
  • We visit and speak at conferences and technological events worldwide.
  • We code at hackathons and other competitions. And we organize them too.
  • We support the local technological community.
  • We offer you

  • The opportunity to join our Phantom Stock scheme.
  • We give our employees a freedom to choose between the environment of work from home and our modern office located in the centric neighbourhood (Passeig de Gràcia) in Cloudworks coworking space where you can enjoy Kiwi.com’s private office space, two common terraces with great views, common coworking activities (yoga, games, etc.), free refreshments and shower.
  • We also enjoy benefits, such as flexible working hours, 30 paid vacation days, sick days, private medical insurance, Employee Assistance Program, GymForLess membership, the annual subscription for El Bicing.
  • Flight vouchers to celebrate your kiwi anniversaries.
  • Hardware from Apple or Microsoft based on your preferences.
  • We offer unlimited contracts within a forward-thinking and ambitious company.
  • Relocation package (including visa transfer support).
  • Dogs and parties are welcome in our offices.
