Our Data team is on the lookout for a Functional Data Analyst experienced in translating functional requirements into data specifications, to join us on this adventurous journey. The position is a Data Functional Analyst functional role, responsible for translating functional requirements into data specifications and data models for the company’s Data platform.

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Gather data requirements and translate them into data specifications to evolve the internal Data Platform (DataLake)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements with a global vision of the entire data value chain from collection, cleaning, processing, storage and exploitation.
  • Participate with our Data Engineering team in the design of data solutions, specially focus on data modelling.
  • Search and navigate into source systems to traceback the origin of the data for its use in the DataLake

 

Experience and Qualifications:

MUST:

  • Degree in Computer science, Information Systems, or related field required.
  • 4/3 + years of overall technology experience that includes at least 2+ years of hands-on data.
  • Strong SQL and NoSQL profficiencly (profiles with juts experience in one of them would not be considered for the role).
  • Proficient in data modelling (data modeler).
  • High level of English (C1).
  • Experience minimza with Data Lake Infrastructure / Data Warehousing.

 

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the use of tools such as Databricks, Python, R (estudiar el contenido del dato) or BI tools.
  • Experience in the online payment sector and payment gateways.
  • Experience in Azure cloud services.

 

Soft skills:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, including entity-relationship diagrams (ERD), normalisation, denormalization and star schema.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Results orientation and attention to detail.
