Job purpose:
Currently, we’re growing our Data department and we need a Data Engineer to help us with the growth. Squeezing insights out of our data lake or improving the bidding algorithm will be some of your tasks with us.
Main job responsibilities are:
- Build the migration to real-time architecture.
- Improve existing ETLs along with all the infrastructure and engineering behind them.
- Build and maintain data-based processes to help other teams make better decisions.
- Digest complex concepts to create useful visual representations.
- Understand our data and be part of the team with the same goal: find growth opportunities.
What you will bring:
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role working with large-scale data systems.
- Strong programming skills. You'll mainly use Java and Python with us.
- Master SQL, know your way around optimization and scalability of queries.
- Comfortable designing and building data architectures.
- Experience with asynchronous processing, especially Kafka.
Valuable:
- Experience with workflow managers such as Airflow, Luigi, etc.
- Experience with AWS Redshift, AWS Athena, Hadoop, Vertica, etc.
- Experience with Machine Learning models.
Our tech stack:
- Our services are written with Golang, PHP7, Python, and JavaScript.
- They leverage Redis, Elasticsearch, and MySQL.
- Communication flows through JSON APIs, gRPC, Protobuf, and Kafka.
- We monitor our systems with Datadog, Graylog, and Sentry.
- Operations are performed on top of Docker, Ansible, Jenkins, Slack, and Git.
- Everything runs on AWS.
