IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL
Every day our ingestion system receives more than 100 million events from our users. On the Data Engineering Team, our mission is to make the most of this data and measure the performance of our products.
The final goal is to show multiple KPIs both internally and externally by delivering the best data serving layer that drives impact through informed decision making. Since you will be working in a highly collaborative environment, you will cooperate with software engineering, data science, and product management to optimize our products and their impacts for both our customers and our users.
Examples of the activities:
- Work side by side with our data scientists and data analysts to identify the needs and create innovative solutions;
- Maintaining and constantly improving our code base by finding & fixing bugs and performing refactoring where needed.
SKILLS WE’RE SEARCHING FOR
- Experience in ETL design, implementation and maintenance.
- Experience with Python and its packages to manipulate data.
- Experience in writing SQL statements
- Experience with Big Data Infrastructures (Spark, Hadoop, Hive).
OTHER ABILITIES THAT WILL WIN OUR HEART
- Experience with at least one of the leading cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with third party API integrations
- Experience with container services (Docker)
