Our amazing Data Team is on the lookout for a Data Architect to be responsible for designing and managing the data architecture framework covering the entire lifecycle on PayRetailers data assets.

 

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Enhance the implemented data architecture to detect improvements and new needs, designing the best data integrations between applications.
  • Participate in the corporate data management framework, involving data planning, specification, enablement, creation, acquisition, maintenance, usage, archiving, retrieval, control and purging of data assets.
  • Work closely with data engineers to build and test sustainable data architectures, evaluate data modeling as well as prototype new approaches and design solutions at scale.
  • Develop PoCs or MVPs to validate cutting and bleeding-edge technologies.
  • Stay up to date with latest data trends by attending events and taking relevant training.

 

About you:

MUST:

  • Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
  • + 10 years of professional experience in IT with at least 6 years in cloud data solutions and systems/data architecture. 
  • Extensive experience in design data solutions, with focus on data modeling, data integration, data security and database performance
  • Deep knowledge of Azure data tools and services
  • Experience on CI/CD through Azure DevOps/ GitHub.
  • Experience on working with highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing – in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Experience in Azure cloud services (Azure Certification is a plus).
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Experience with Data Lake Infrastructure / Data Warehousing  

Would be a plus:

  • Experience in the online payment sector and payment gateways.
  • Experience in Databricks.
