We are looking for a Data Analyst intern to join our Analytics Department. This is a paid internship where you will be supporting our Data Analysts in their day to day tasks. An interest in Business Analysis would be beneficial for this position, along with good technical skills to define or modify SQL queries, and a basic understanding of Data Vsualisation tools.
Responsibilities
- Work with SQL queries to extract data from a large database;
- Help maintain dashboards and visualisations that inform both tactical and strategic decision making;
- Understand Business KPIs and help tracking them;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect feedback and gather requirements for new insights and reports;
- Assist in resolving Business issues using Data.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in business analysis, possess good communication skills, analytical and critical thinking, and a growth mindset. We are looking for someone who is passionate about challenging Tech and Data problems and enjoys learning.
Skills required:
- SQL (basic to mid-level);
- Fluent spoken and written English;
- Good problem solving, analytical and critical thinking;
- Quality driven, attention to detail and pragmatic;
- Proactive and positive attitude, self-organised and an excellent team player;
- Agile and innovative with the tenacity to thrive in a constantly changing environment and willingness to improve;
- Being eligible for an agreement with the university, this is mandatory for this role.
Nice to have:
- Advanced SQL knowledge;
- Familiarity with R or Python libraries for data analysis such as dplyr or Pandas, or willingness to learn them;
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI etc.
