OCS is seeking to hire a Cloud Architect to join our Digital Data and Analytics team and lead the evolution of our Serverless Architecture. As a cloud architect, you will be responsible for ensuring that our architecture evolves and scales to every challenge we face. As a cloud architect, you’ll have previous experience programming and building serverless architectures, identifying scalability issues and proposing changes to fulfil regulatory and business requirements.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
To create and manage cloud-based systems.To respond to technical difficulties in a timely and competent manner.To translate project-specific requirements into a cloud structure that meets those requirements, as well as taking into account project’s resource use and scalability requirements.To collaborate with the rest of the Data Engineering team within DDnA to deploy, maintain, monitor and manage solutions within our serverless architecture.To collaborate in keeping our architecture secure.JOB QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years of demonstrable experience with cloud architecture – especially AWS, Azure and/or GCP – (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS) with focus on scalability, security and integration challenges.Experience with common programming languages (e.g., Python) and frameworks.Devops and agile principles work environment experience.Deep understanding of web, social and mobile applications and security aspects: how they function, interact and ultimately how to protect them.Experience in architecting Data Pipelines infrastructure PaaS and Serverless experience.Data Lakes, Distributed databases and high volume storage techniques understanding is a must.MLOps and ML experience highly desirable.Strong written and verbal communications skills.Ability to write and defend technical business proposals.Self-reliant and takes initiative to get things done without having to rely on others for minimal guidance.Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, cloud native patterns, container management and cloud computing capabilities especially as offered by AWS.Knowledge in EU compliance including but not limited to: GDPR, Cloud Residency & EU Cloud Act.Experience in setting up Highly Available, low latency systems with no downtime deployments using canary, blue green, CDN and A/B testing patterns.Expertise on AWS Cloud-Specific services which include IAM, VPC, EC2, RDS, ELB, ECS, Auto scaling, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, Route53, Ops Works, Cloud Watch, Guard Duty, Security Hub, Cloud Formation, SageMaker.Workplace & Environment
