Who you are
You must have extensive knowledge to create, maintain, and improve server-side applications. Also, you will form part of an international team that is working in a dynamic and fun environment on the way to disrupt the music event industry.
Joining our Engineering team means you'll have a say in technical decisions, take ownership of your tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
What will you do
Our tech team is at the heart of our customer happiness and thus our success as a business. Your role as Backend Engineer in this critical team will include:
- Contributing to product growth and developing new functionalities using the newest technologies
- Applying the standard methodologies of clean code, testing, and coding standards
- Taking part in the design of the API for our React front-end and our iOS and Android native apps
- Improving the existing code and functionalities
- Adopting DDD software architectures
- Creating unit tests for everything and functional tests for critical parts
- Being involved in the entire product development lifecycle including the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of new and existing features.
- Owning the process of your development: from code to production (design, development, testing and deployment).
- Improving our database performance by refactoring queries or designing new scalable solutions.
- Understanding and contributing to CI/CD procedures
- Using our metrics tools to analyze the system performance in order to improve our user experience
Your skills and experience
- You have experience in object-oriented programming in PHP 7 (or above)
- You have experience in Microservices and Event-Driven Architecture projects
- You have knowledge of DDD and hexagonal architecture
- You possess in-depth knowledge of MySQL
- You are familiar with building RESTful web services
- You have strong knowledge of Symfony5+
- You are experienced in NoSQL (ElasticSearch, Redis, DynamoDB)
- You are familiar with the setup and usage of CI/CD
- You are experienced with version control systems (such as GIT)
- You are an agile principles adopter
Bonus points for
- Knowledge in HTML5, CSS3 Bootstrap3 and JavaScript
- Experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, lambda, SQS) is nice to have
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience with payment gateways
