Responsibilities:
As QA Engineer, you will develop functional testing to identify all the scenarios through the application. Also, you will create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of the software product.
- API testing experience: Experience in testing web services and REST APIs. Knowledge of integration testing, data validation, authentication and authorization, and ensuring that APIs are working properly is required.
- Regression Testing: Execute manual regression test suites to validate that existing functionality remains intact after code changes or updates.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with all profiles of the delivery team to align testing efforts according to company’s strategy.
- Test Environment Setup: Prepare and configure test environments and data sets necessary for automated testing.
- Database Testing: Verify the integrity and accuracy of data stored in databases by writing SQL queries and performing data validation tests.
- Continuous Integration: Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure that tests run automatically with each code change.
- Defect Reporting: Identify, report, and track software defects and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.
- Analytical thinking: It is necessary to analyze project requirements and specifications to design effective test cases and find defects.
- Scripting and programming: It is helpful to have scripting and programming skills to create automated tests.
- Microservices and API knowledge: Understanding the principles of microservices architecture is necessary, as this affects how individual services and their interaction are tested and secured.
- Automation: Experience in test automation. Tools such as Postman or specific tools such as RestAssured can be used.
