Junior Software Engineer en Barcelona o en remoto

Openbravo is looking for exceptional candidates for the role of Junior Software Engineer, within our Product organization.

A professional responsible for the coding of complex problems in business management application using high-technical system capabilities and working autonomously. Analyses and designs application systems encompassing development and modification and translates application requirements into practical systems designs. Documents detailed systems design specifications and user manuals. Provides immediate solution to any problem or alternatively suggests interim solution if problem requires detailed examination.

Position responsibilities

The function of Senior Software Engineer has the following key areas of responsibility: 

→ Design and develop new complex ERP / POS systems or components with high degree of autonomy

→ Enhance existing ERP / POS application systems or components of high complexity

→ Resolve product defects detected by customers, community and / or internal testers

→ Analyse, evaluate and improve business related requirements of different functional areas of our products

→ Test and roll-out new functionalities ensuring quality

→ Document new / modifications to existing functionalities

→ Work closely with other members of the development, product and technology team

→ Work with internal business clients to understand their requirements and translate into value-generating technical solutions.

 Position Requirements

 The professional we are seeking:

→ Has a MS or equivalent.

→ At least 1 year of relevant experience

→ Basic knowledge of Retail flows

→ Working knowledge of:

  • Java, J2EE, Javascript, XML, HTML, CSS, Tomcat, Ant, Eclipse

  • Database knowledge: PL/SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle

  • Other tools: Hibernate, HQL, RESTful web services, Jasper Reports

  • Agile software development methodologies

  • Model Driven Development using Application Dictionary

  • Modularity
