The Who, What, Why and Where

It’s time to build! Twilio's Event Streams team is looking for an inspired, humble, growth-oriented Software Engineer to help us keep empowering developers all around the world to build modern communication applications and experiences. Frontend engineers at Twilio are responsible for creating compelling experiences for developers and operators alike. You will work closely with Product and Design and be responsible for usability considerations as well as implementation of modern Web experiences available through our Console.

As part of the Event Streams team, you will help to build the Console of a product that allows our customers to consume the events that represent every interaction on Twilio. Event Streams is part of the Twilio Commons Platform organization responsible for providing a platform used by Twilio's customers and product engineering teams alike, to build global-scale communications services.

The experiences you build will be relied upon by all of Twilio's customers daily, and you will continually expand and refine the experience to meet customers’ changing needs.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a Frontend Engineer who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of creating compelling customer experiences. They also have:

  • 5+ years of JavaScript experience, including concepts like asynchronous programming, functional programming, closures, types, and ES6.
  • 3+ years experience with the modern Web stack: notably React, Typescript, and Node.js. If you've worked with other frameworks (like Vue or Ember) that's a plus as well.
  • Experience consuming and designing mature REST APIs.
  • Experience working with high traffic, highly scalable systems and complex code bases.
  • Experience designing, building and supporting mission critical user-facing systems.
  • Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of processes and engineering best practices in all phases of the software development life cycle.

This position will be located in our Madrid, Spain office at Paseo de la Castellana, 77, although working remotely is also an option.
