Job Summary:

The Software Engineer will join Devo's Backstage Relay team, which is in charge of the service tasked with sending huge amount of data from our clients to the Devo platform, and other integration components and tools.

The required candidate needs to have a well established experience programming with Java, and will also count on a solid knowledge of algorithm, data structure theories and Linux. A candidate who is also focused on performance, maintainability, clean code and team work would be a perfect fit.

The role of this profile will be to develop new features for the Devo Relay components, and to maintain them as well, participating in all the development phases: conception, programming, testing, integration, etc.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of object oriented design patterns and principles.
  • Experience with software testing using JUnit.
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
  • Good knowledge and experience on Unix/Linux environments and package management.
  • Experience in asynchronous programming and concurrency.
  • Experience with network programming (sockets).
  • Experience with relational databases usage and concepts.
  • Knowledge on scalable system architecture.
  • Knowledge on Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
  • Ready to learn new things, or share expertise.

Desired:

  • Usage of Gradle as the software building tool.
  • Experience working with public certificate infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge on Java memory management.
  • Experience in frontend development with React.
  • Knowledge on container orchestration architecture like Kubernetes.
